What's the direction of the prevailing winds on the west coast of Malaysia?

I'll be cycling that route, hugging the coast, from south to north in April, so any relevant info would be welcome.

i would presume you will travelling along the north-south expressway, it is along the west coast from singapore to thailand. Then the wind will come from west, the center part of malaysia is mountains, so the wind wont come from east.

there is a part of the expressway you need to precaution, which is from the state Malacca to the state Seremban of area, because of that area of the expressway is cut through certain moutains and it is close to the coast, so when the strong wind comes it will form some "twister effect" and will affect those hi speed of "light weight vehicle" (most of our malaysian cars :>). when you travel on that area, you will found the warning sign along the area, so you will know when you get in. wish you all the best :>
